Whenever the work is completed and it’s time to show the client the results we could get lazy on that. Most cameras these days are capable of doing it all and make okay images with no effort. But I think showing a professional grade photos of the work done is important to showing off your skills and the real look of the product. So essentially product photography becomes a big aspect of maintaining client relationship.
In most cases the finished parts is made for the person that made the order other times it is an employee looking to get the parts made for their higher ups. And this is where it is important as to make sure the employee has a professional looking image to show off to their boss. We maybe engineers but we should not overlook the importance of aesthetics in our work as I believe artist and engineers are one in the same. Don’t get sloppy on the last few steps to the finish line.
